School Horses

Zip Along Cassie (Cassie) was born in 1992, in California. Her Sire is Bright Zip (John Lyons Stallion) and is out of a Quarter Horse mare. Cassie was ridden through the John Lyons Certification Program by Gail Haynes and has been an excellent demonstration horse at Gail's many clinics. Cassie has been shown successfully with the Ontario Reining Horse Association. Her first year showing, Cassie was Green horse Champion, she also went on to be Ladies Champion with Gail Haynes. As a school horse Cassie has helped several students prepare for and pass their Equine Canada Coaching Exam. Cassie is currently in foal to our stallion "Rustic Jabar Won It". We are expecting a bundle of joy in April 2009.

Impressum Hank (Amigo) was born in 1995. He is a registered Quarter horse gelding. Amigo was also ridden through the John Lyons Certification Program, and used for many clinics as a demonstration horse. Amigo has been shown in everything from hunter under saddle, western pleasure, trail, horsemanship and reining. In 2002, Amigo was the Gelding Champion in the ORHA. As a school horse Amigo has also helped several students prepare for and pass their Equine Canada Coaching Exam.

Midnight Shifter (J.J.) was born in 1988. He is a registered Appaloosa gelding. J.J. got his registered name because he was born solid black in front with a white blanket, then shifted his colour several times until he was glowing white with a few black flecks. When you bath him, or sometimes in the summer you can see the black skin under his white hair. J.J. was a show horse for many years, showing english flat and jumping, showmanship, trail, pleasure, horsemanship winning many awards. As a school horse J.J. has also helped several students prepare for and pass their Equine Canada Coaching Exam. He became a quick favorite at the Five Star shows as well as offsite shows with students.

Rawhide Zipper (R.Z.) was born in 1991. He is a registered Quarter horse gelding. R.Z. has been shown successfully by students at the Five Star shows as well as local shows. He was used by Gail Haynes to successfully take her level two Western Coaching Exam, and has had many successful Level one coaching students ride him.

JPK's Oreo Cookie (Oreo) was born in 1993. He is a registered Miniature(don't call him a pony) He has a character that makes up for his little legs. He is owned by Ashley and Caitlyn (Gail's daughters). He is also ridden in lessons and summer camp with children. Oreo is also trained for driving, and has pulled his cart in several Christmas parades. He has also been shown at the Five Star shows.

Doodie was born in approximately 1987 and has had several students successfully ride her to become certified coaches. Doodie has been ridden at several Christmas Parades, and has been shown locally and at Five Star shows. Doodie has had many true fans over the years. We have had her with us since she was a 3 year old. She was bought at an auction near Belleville. She has developed into a fantastic school horse, as many would agree.

Fancy was born approximately 1981. She is an Appaloosa mare, who has done it all. She has been very successfully shown in english flat and over fences, pleasure, trail, showmanship and horsemanship at local shows by countless students. She has been a favorite at the Five Star shows. Fancy has also helped several students prepare for and pass their Equine Canada Coaching Exam. We are open to a suitable retirement home for Fancy, but we are very particular about where she may go.Faith was born approximately 1986. She is an Appaloosa mare, and came to us with mainly an english background. Though ridden mainly western at Five Star, our english students enjoyed her jumping skills. Faith has also seen the local and Five Star show pen, as well as the streets at the Christmas parades.  Fancy passed away in summer 2008.  She is sadly missed.

Nader Well, what can I say about Nader, after 30 years old you stop counting. Nader was born in North Carolina and purchased from one of Gail's riding instructors (David Godson) at Humber College. She has dedicated almost 20 years of her life to teaching young, (and young at heart) riders the joys of riding, taken many people out for their first trail ride, and had brought countless great memories to all who know her. Nader is still ridden lightly, because she has let us know she is not ready for full retirement yet.
